Haggadah

Haggadah, hebr., heißt in der jüdischen Theologie die Auslegung des mündlichen u. schriftlichen Wortes durch Privatpersonen, welche den Geist des Gesetzes nicht verletzen darf (für die h.sche Schrifterklärung wurden sehr früh 32 Regeln festgesetzt), aber sonst im Gebiete der Tagesmeinungen sich frei bewegt. Halachah heißt die traditionelle Lehre, die von Behörden und Schulen der Gesetzeslehrer ausgeht u. als Vorschrift und Verhaltungsmaßregel sich dauernd im Leben festsetzt.
