Ampulla, bei den Römern zweihenklige Flasche aus Thon, Glas, Metall etc. zur Aufbewahrung von Flüssigkeiten, namentlich des Salböls; sodann Trinkflasche. – Ampullae heißen auch die bei dem hl. Meßopfer gebrauchten Wasser- und Weinkännchen.
