M'Culloch, Mac Culloch (Mäcköllach), John, engl. Naturforscher u. Arzt. geb. 1773 auf Guernsey, wurde 1820 Leibarzt des Prinzen Leopold von Sachsen-Koburg u. später Professor der Chemie und Geologie an der Militärschule der ostind. Compagnie zu Addiscombe; st. 1835. Schriften: »Description of the Western islands of Scotland«, 3 Bde., Lond. u. Edinb. 1819; »A geological classification of rocks with descriptive synopses«, Lond. 1821; »The Highlands and Western isles of Scotland« Lond. 1824; »Malaria, an essay on the production and propagation of this poison«, London 1827 etc.
