Schmaltz, Mor. Ferd., prot. Theolog, geb. 1785 zu Stolpen bei Dresden, 1816–18 Prediger zu Wien. 1819 Pastor an der Kirche zu Neustadt-Dresden, seit 1833 Hauptpastor an der St. Jakobikirche u. Scholarch in Hamburg, gilt als ausgezeichneter Kanzelredner u. hat sehr viele Predigten drucken lassen.
